What is Stock photography ???
Stock photos are everywhere, you just don’t realize it. The possible uses for the images and the need for them are almost endless. Pick up any school book, magazine, brochure, sales catalog, or click on almost any web page and you will find examples of stock photography.
Stock photography are images created without a specific purpose in mind but rather a concept they could represent. These images are then catalogued and available for purchase by someone needing illustrations for ads, books, articles, and other uses.
For example if a college student is doing a report on Childhood education methods, it would be nice to have a few nice photos of children reading or writing for the report or if a company is running an ad campaign on a new toothpaste they would probably need a photo of a pretty smile with white teeth. It’s endless……..
Would you like to see your picture or a picture of your child in a magazine or used in an advertising Campaign? If so....then read on.........
My photos have shown up in 1000's different locations. Including Catalogs, magazine articles, Calendars, Video, TV, posters, and countless webpages...including DoDEA Europe's homepage.
Free Photo Session............how it works
Can you provide these types of photos?
1) Photos of families having fun and sharing, not just standard portrait photos, but more interaction shots, with kids climbing on your back, playing, reading together, sharing.
2) Photos of kids, doing almost anything. Playing games, wrestling, reading, writing, almost anything with an educational concept.
3) Photos of friends and groups of people interacting.....laughing, smiling and having fun
4) Diversity......almost anything that shows diversity in families, education, and of life in general.
5) Large groups of kids, so if you and another family would like to come as a group it would be perfect. I would get group and individual photos as well.
What will you get ?
You will receive a 1 to 2 hour photo session and in a professional studio with top of the line equipment and cameras. You will recieve (in about a week) 10 (5x7) prints of some of the choice photos from the photo session. Within a few weeks, you will also recieve a CD with containing all the best photos. By having the electronic copies of those files you will be able to print larger or more copies at a later date. I will also host all the finshed photos on my website for you can share them with friends and family. Depending on how the photo shoot goes and the type of photos taken you may recieve up to 50 finished photos on a CD.....and your totol cost.......nothing!!

The typical cost for a 2+ hour photo session can range from $500 to over $1000 depending on the photographer and the number of people involved in the session. I will typically take over 300 photos during the session with multiple poses and different clothing and themes. Typically a photography studio will only give you the prints specified in the package you purchased. If you desire more or different sizes at a later date, you will have to pay additional and you will NEVER get the electronic copies.
What will I get ?
I will receive a signed Model Release for each person (prior to the shoot) that allows me to post the images on stock photography sites to sell and distribute the photos to prospective buyers. This arrangement is know as TFP (Time for Photos), and is the most common arrangement used for amateur, non professional and even semi professional models in Stock photography. Depending on the quality of the photos taken in the session it could take anywhere from a few months to a few years for the photographer to recover the costs associated with a TFP session vs. a paid Session.….you never know.

A stock photo shoot is a lot of fun, as there are no bounds to what you can do....and when you mother calls up and says she saw a picture of somebody that looked JUST LIKE YOU.....you can say......it probably was me......(This has happened many many times) The reward of seeing your son or daughters photo in a magazine is neat....and something that you and they will cherish for a long time.
I am only able to accept a limited number of TFP (time for photo) sessions. If you would like to apply for a TFP session or get more infomation send me a note.
